TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT

The two bedroom apartment Palmer Suite has a four star certification. It is designed for two to four guests and has a size of about 80 square metres. One of the two seperate sleeping rooms is equipped with a double bed the other one with two single beds. There is either a partly covered terrace (ground floor) or a balcony (first and second floor apartment) both heading westward for afternoon sun and with wonderful views into the large private garden. There is a seperate storage room for your suitcases or shoes. Additionally there you wil find things like vacuum cleaner, iron, ironboard, laundry rack, sun umbrella… Wi-Lan at no extra cost.

» Sleeping

All our beds have adjustable slatted frames and cold foam matrasses. If you arrive all the beds are prepared to give you recreative sleep. The windows have shutters for totally dark sleeping, if you wish.

» Living

In the seperate living and dining room leather sofas are waiting for you to lean back, drink a glass of wine or use one of the more than 100 TV channels, watch your own films on our flatscreen with our DVD player or use the solid wooden table with comfortable chairs for working or dining.

» Kitchen

The seperate kitchen – with a practical real window facing the dining room – is fully equipped. Here, you may not only prepare a fast breakfast or put a frozen pizza into the oven, but you will be able to serve a menu with several courses. Besides dishwasher, large freeser and seperate fridge we provide a complete cooker, including a baking oven. Dishes, cutlery, glasses, pots, pan, coffee maker, toaster… we tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable and easy. In our most recently renovated appartment on the second floor we realized an open kitchen-concept whith direct access to the living room.

» Bathroom

The modern bathroom with tiles in white and dark grey offers a bathtub which is also designed d for taking a shower. There are enough towels and you do not even have to bring your own hair dryer with you. It is provided in the cabinet beneath the wash bowl.

Our 6 month stay in Tübingen coincided with the pandemic and the onset of Germany’s lockdown phase. I was uncertain about completing our stay with schools closed and the numerous restrictions put in place, but Ludwig went above and beyond what would be expected of any host to make it feasible for my children and I to remain as the situation slowly improved. The apartment is very comfortable, in a lovely and safe neighborhood that was a delight to explore with the children. A close shopping area made it easy to obtain everything we needed while in lockdown. The close access to the natural area of Schönbuch made it possible for us to take wonderfully long hikes and bike rides (after Ludwig helped us secure bikes), which kept us sane when everything was closed. We also loved the 20 minute walk downhill to go to Tübingen’s beautiful downtown, and, before the pandemic began, enjoyed the easy access to bus routes to explore all of Tübingen and the surrounding area. Ludwig and his family were the most generous of hosts; we greatly enjoyed staying at this lovely apartment, and my children and I would gladly visit again in heartbeat.

The very pleasant owner, Ludwig, was there to meet us and show us the property, which was very clean and well-equipped, with a nice, protected, patio. It was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The location was quiet residential with many walking and biking paths. There is an Italian restaurant and several shops within a 12 min. walk, but the drive into town was about the same and easy to find parking. Tubingen is a wonderful town in which to spend several days. We would certainly stay with Ludwig again.

We enjoyed four weeks in this lovely two bedroom apartment in Tuebingen. The apartment is complete with everything needed for meal preparation and comfortable living in a beautiful setting in a very quiet neighborhood near the university’s clinics and the Max Planck Institute. Transportation by bus to Tuebingen’s Altstadt, Hauptbahnhof and other university buildings is accessible via a 5-10 minute walk to multiple bus stops. The nearby supermarket, bank, bakery, pharmacy and restaurant make it easy to enjoy your stay without an automobile. Abundant walking trails offer opportunities to explore the neighboring wooded areas. The owners are very helpful! We would definitely stay again should we be so lucky to visit Tuebingen again.

Wohnung: Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen für 14 Tage in der Wohnung und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in dieser geschmackvoll und sehr zweckmäßig ausgestatteten Wohnung. Es gibt eine gute Internetverbindung. Gastgeber: Der Gastgeber Herr Cremer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Direkte Umgebung: Sie liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet, man sieht sehr viel PKWs aber es gab immer freie Parkplätze direkt vor der Ferienwohnung. Tübingen und Umgebung: Tübingen ist eine historische Universitätsstadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. (Botanischer Garten, Naturpark Schönbuch, Museum Universität Tübingen, Burg Hohenzollern und nicht vergessen Alraunes Soft Art Panoptikum in Haigerloch, eine Garantie für zwei Stunden Spaß) .

Apartment is wonderful–modern, clean, quiet, comfortable. Located near good restaurant, art museum, and excellent public transportation into city. Tubingen is a wonderful university city with great history and ambiance, but location also allows easy access to Southern Germany sites and both Stuttgart and Munich (by car or train). If driving a car this is one of the few places you will find where parking is both available and free. But the real reason to stay in this apartment (I stayed in the two bedroom, but there is also a smaller unit) is the host. Ludwig is terrific and genuinely interested in making your stay comfortable and helping in any way that he can.

My family stayed here for two weeks in late June to early July. We chose Tubingen because my daughter is spending the summer doing research at the University. We will return because we absolutely fell in love with this town! The drive from Stuttgart Airport to Tubingen was shorter and easier than the trip from O’Hare to the outer suburbs! Upon arrival, Herr Cremer, who speaks fluent English, greeted us with a smile and escorted us up to the apartment and gave us a tour and instructions on how to use the appliances, recycling procedures, etc. He was also patient enough to answer all of our questions and show us the closest bus stops on our map. He also checked back with us during our stay to make sure everything was going OK. We found candies on our pillows as well a complimentary bottle of water and apple cider on the dining room table. The balcony is equipped with a small table and chairs for enjoying your morning coffee or lunch overlooking the beautiful back yard garden. The two bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room in the closets to store clothing and shoes. There is a separate room to store your suitcase so you are not stumbling around it during your stay. I found the bathroom to be large by European standards, with a small cabinet below the sink to keep your toiletries. There was plenty of towels (at least two per person). Parking was never a problem – we were always able to find a spot right in front of the building. We were able to walk about 5-10 min. north to a little grocery store (Penny), bakery, small fresh produce store, and Italian restaurant (which also serves pizza to go). We found the prices at the grocery store to be very inexpensive compared to the USA which allowed us to get quite a bit for our money!! There is a convenient bus stop at this location as well, that will take you right downtown to the heart of the “old town” of Tubingen. The neighborhood, as well as the town, is very quiet, and safe. We felt very comfortable walking around even at night. Tubingen also offers a great central location for short day trips by car (as we did) or by train (as my daughter has done). If you want an apartment in a convenient location, at a good price, with great amenities, an attentive landlord, in a beautiful city, this is the one you should choose!!

This beautiful home was perfect for four adults. Host Ludwig is exceptional kind and helpful. The home is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The neighborhood is lovely, with Italian restaurant, grocery, bank and bakery within five minutes walk. Surrounded by forested area and near Botanical Gardens for nice walks. Old Town is about 20 minutes by bus, or 30 minutes walking. We would stay here again.

We loved staying here. The apartment was perfect. I was attending a conference at the Hospital nearby so although it was a 20 min walk into the town centre it was right were I needed to be. The organic supermarket and traditional german bakery round the corner were heaven. Also the botanic garden and the city art gallery are just around the corner too! I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Hoping I get to return soon.

Sehr saubere, modern eingerichtete Wohnung in ruhiger Wohngegend. Parken kein Problem. Nicht weit bis zur Bushaltstelle und dem Einkaufszentrum auf der “Wanne” mit allen wichtigen Laeden. Nahe der Kunsthalle Wanne wo oft sehr beliebte Kunstausstellungen sind.
